Rideout Responsibilities and Liabilities – Castles & Dragons 2025.
- All those attending the Rally are of course expected to be riding or driving in accordance with the law.
- Motorcycles or cars must be fit for use, with valid MOT and Insurance as required.
- Drivers or riders must likewise hold the appropriate license and be fit to take part in the activity.
- We must of course comply with all road regulations, such as speed limits. No overtaking, but if a member of the public appears intent on passing us, please allow them to do so as safely as possible.
- Route information will be circulated before the start and a briefing will be held.
- Please ask questions if you are unsure of anything.
- Speed will be lower than the limit, both to comply with the law and to ensure that the tail enders do not need to speed to catch up with the group.
- The group will have riders with a mix of abilities. Please respect each other. It’s a social ride.
- Routes will have been tested beforehand, but things can change. We will endeavour to keep the group together, but if anyone becomes separated, please refer to the briefing note for a guide to the destination.
- During a ride we may pass through areas of outstanding beauty. Please do not be distracted.
- Accidents can happen but, it must be noted and accepted that, in taking part in an organised event YOU are responsible for your own mistakes! At all times ride within the capabilities of your machine and yourself.
- Phone numbers for the ride guides will be provided to you.
- A phone number for a single point of contact at the hotel will be made available.
- The riders on each ride have been kept to a manageable number.
- A second man drop-off system will be used to keep the group on course.
- At roundabouts the drop-off marker will be at the exit.
- It is very important that if you have been asked to mark a turning that you stay in place until released by the back marker.
- GPX files, route descriptions and café locations are available.
- Your guides want you all to enjoy the Welsh scenery. Take it all in but remember to look where you are going!!
- Have fun, enjoy the ride and the company and lets all get back safe and together.
